Updated - Winter Follows

Hello all!

The original plot for this story was built upon a shaky foundations so we have chosen to start over. We have taken a great effort to sure up the plot so as to fill in any holes left over from our original idea.

DESCRIPTION:

Alena Doherty has been living alone in a small town located in Colorado. She had always enjoyed the small town vibe it gave her. She was far enough away from a big city but close enough to have access to most things she needed. Not long after she hears of her brothers passing, a group of men arrives at her home. Alena had not been too close with her family since she had chosen to move away from home. Surprised by the news of her brother's death as well as the strangers showing up, she has no choice but to run. Azazel Maverick was out on his routine morning run. About half a mile away from his comfortable and safe home, Azazel spots something unique on the snowy grounds. He cannot identify, so he whips out his goggles for a more helpful view. He sees a large source of heat! And vapor seems to be leaving the source of heat. Azazel was taken aback by the sudden appearance of a body. “That's a body!” He sprints to the body and unzips his puffy jacket. He wraps the victim with it and loads her onto his shoulder before making a hasty retreat to the house. Alena slowly wakes up as her body begins to warm up. She faintly sees flashes of someone carrying her before she once again fades back into the darkness.
