No more film critics?

Hey everyone!

I have noticed that most of the films today seem to be more focused on fulfilling the mainstream audience's wants and needs. While it is necessary to fulfill the desires and needs to generate a box office gross and keep the film business alive, I feel that many of these films are "passable." The analysis from film critics today is ignored, which makes me wonder if the quality of film making is stagnating.
